  const card = await res.json();
  console.log(card.scheme, card.issuer, card.country);

Data licence and attribution

The underlying BIN list is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. If you use the API in a product, please credit Dark Dollars BIN data. See the data sources page for full methodology and coverage notes.

Offline access

Prefer not to call the API? The full dataset is published as a CSV and as JSON chunks split by the first three hex digits, so you can load only the range you need.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an API key?

No. The API is open and CORS-enabled so it can be called straight from a browser.

Is there a rate limit?

Not for normal use. Please be reasonable: continuous bulk scraping degrades the service for everyone.

How accurate is the data?

It reflects a published public snapshot. BIN allocations change, so treat results as a strong reference rather than a guarantee.

Can I use it commercially?

Yes, with attribution to the data source.
